2015 PCA: Steve O'Dwyer Wins The Super High Roller

It took just a little bit more than 5 hours of play at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas until the biggest ever $100,000 Super High Roller had a winner, Steve O'Dwyer of USA!

O'Dwyer, who is based in Ireland these days, bested a field of 50 players and 66 entries to claim the massive $1.87 million first-place prize! Believe it or not but this was O'Dwyer's second super high roller victory in the past couple of months! In November last year, he outlasted a field of 52 entrants, and 50 rebuys, in the ACOP SUPER HIGH ROLLER IN MACAU for $1.81 million.

"I'm pretty confident about what I've been doing lately, but a lot of this is luck and I ran pretty hot to win another one," O'Dwyer told PokerStars Blog. "Players are a lot tougher in these ones so it's better to get lucky I guess."

Many congratulations to Steve O'Dwyer on winning this high roller event and taking home the massive first prize of 1.8 milllion. This is his second big win in a matter of months, so even more kudos to him

He always seems to be a consistent winner of these big events, not long ago I saw the TV show with him winning the EPT main event in Monte Carlo as well.I think he did well in Barcelona also so he must definitely be one of the biggest money winners from Ireland.

Five hours playtime is not really a big one, altough if I would spend my vacation on the Bahamas and I have to play cards for five hours in a small room I think I was all-in on every hand just to get back to the beach. There is not so many things better in the world than soaking in the sun in january somewhere far-far away, slipping cocktails and chilling out.
Congrats Mr. O'Dwyer who entered the table last but came out on top, also I see Mizzi had his nice sum of cash returned for his backers so everything is alright I guess.
