The second day of the World Poker Tour Bay 101 Shooting Star $7,500 Main Event has come to an end. 155 players of 389 that entered on Tuesday will return for Day 2 today. 2014 WSOP ladies event champion Haixia Zhang bagged up the largest stack of the second day (281,000 chips), which means that she will enter Day 2 with the second largest stack after Day 1 A's James Carroll with 297,600.
Last year this tournament saw a record field of 718 players. This year the total field size so far stands at 700 entrants. However, registration will be open until the start of Day 2, which means that the record of last year still might be beaten. Right now, the top 72 players will get paid and the winner will take home $1.1. Tomorrow we'll announce the official prize pool!
