In July 2014, high-stakes poker profiles Daniel "jungleman12" Cates and Phil Ivey paid $1 million each to bailout Richard Yong and his son Wai Yong, who both stood accused of accepting illegal bets on 2014 FIFA World Cup. Richard Yong was later freed from all charges, and now Cates has received his $1,000,000 bail money back + an extra $63.

What a terrible return on a million dollars after 8 months. No wonder governments always lose money if that is the best they can do.Good to see players stumping up that sort of money for their friends.

On the whole that's a pretty rubbish return on investment, though in the grander scheme of things, what price innocence and justice? Well done to the two of them for footing the bill. Glad they got their hunch right and the lucky baileys didn't break bail!

He should be happy to even get back - with interest or without interest - the initial bail money.

If you make business with triad bosses you will be gloriusly rewarded through their friendship. And their friendship will never end unlike their life. Big Smile I mean making a nifty $63 was worth all this risk after all, am I right? And now we see in the other news articlke that he lost four million more in Manila - so the triad even made money on him. Plenty.
