It has been a very long month. I have had almost no internet service to speak of and it has been hard to take not having access. I have also been having a lot of health problems over the last month. The pain throughout my body has been nearly unbearable at times.

I am a disabled man but at times I forget about my limitations and then try to do things I can no longer do. Simple things like refilling the water bottle on my cooler used to be so effortlessly done, but now it requires a tremendous amount of steadfast determination and physical strength as to give me pause before making the attempt.

The internet problems have finally been tracked down to a women in another apartment within my building having hooked an old router into our buildings internet which apparently has the same default ip address as our buildings internet server. I am told this has caused all manner of conflict issues within our internet.

The women has been told to not plug the router back into the system but she keeps doing it. The landlord has said that if see keeps doing it then see might need to be evicted as she has damaged the system and is causing other tenets like myself a great amount of grief.

I have been able to play very little online poker over the last month, but every time the internet has been up and running I have logged onto Pokerstars and played some 0.01/0.02 NL Texas Holdem. I currently have a small bankroll which I am using to just play some poker for the pure enjoyment of the game.

I have not been worrying about making money just trying to play well and enjoy the game overall. It has been very relaxing and I find it has helped to rekindle my love of the game.

I hope you are all doing well and that life is treating you with kindness.

Her is a little something to think about mates. it is a little blast from the past I think we should revisit again.

Admit you do not know everything. I do NOT know everything either. I am always trying to learn more and become a better player. Every great player is a life time learner. Great poker players are always trying to improve their game.

The best are always studying their poker game and watching others to learn new things. The best poker pros in the world make notes on the players they frequently play against. Nobody ever got good at playing poker until they was able to admit to themselves at least that they needed to learn a few things. The best players are the ones who know they still might need to learn a few things and strive to learn everything.

I have made a living playing poker in the past and I still think I have a lot to learn. I read books, watch videos, Television, and even attended online classes about poker. I read several forums and take part in a few of the one I like most like Bankrollmob.

I am NOT the best player in the world at this time. Someday I could become great though if I can keep learning and getting better a little bit every day. You too should strive to become a little better every day.

You would be amazed at how much your game would improve if you just sit aside 30 minutes each day to study poker. You will eventually learn something that will make you win a little more over time.

It is another new day and once again my internet is not working. The constant problems with my internet are really upsetting me a great deal. It has even cost me money. On the weekend I moved into a pot with 80% of my stack and I had the absolute nuts. Nothing could make me lose the had I thought but then my internet shut off and stayed off for the next 18 hours, once I was finally able to log onto my poker account I seen the results I had lost the hand and I was down $27 from my account.

The only think that makes sense to me is that the guy I was playing realized I got disconnected and then moved in over top of my raise and the system timed me out and folded my winning hand. It is the only explanation as I did have the absolute nut, I have contacted my landlord about this issue several times now. I hate the idea of switching to another ISP but reliability is extremely important to me.

Hope you are all doing well, until next time, be cool amigo's.

Ronin

It really is frustrating when your Internet goes off and for it to ne down for such a length of time must be really infuriating. I dont think i could cope for so long without any service

Oh boy, so your local catlady bottlenecking your ISP and since your ISP is your building you basicaly cannot do anything about it. Well, have an IT guy look into that old router to change it's default IP (update it's firmware etc.) or buy the catlady a new router which I am sure wouldn't be that much of a money.

I think your landlord is at fault, by providing a system that only works if no one plugs in a router with the default settings for a home network (like 192.168.1.1).
Your landlord should choose another LAN IP, that doesn't conflict so easily...

Alternatively your neighbor could choose a different LAN IP on her router, but then it'll start all over again when another neighbor plugs in a router.

I'm no expert, but it sounds like an insecure setup, where each of your neighbors could spy on each others network traffic.
