The 2015 edition of PokerStars' Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) ended on Sunday with three Main Events in Low, Medium and High buy-ins. Despite the latter having a buy-in of $10,300, 694 entries were made and generated a prize pool of $6,940,000 (the orginal guarantee was $4 million)!
No deal was made on chopping the prize money on the final table so the winner, Mustapha "lasagnaaammm" Kanit, ended up waking away with a whopping $1.3 million! Kanit, born in Italy but located in England, won his first SCOOP last year, a $2,100 buy-in tournament for $376,920. He won the €50,000 Super High Roller at the EPT11 Grand Final in Monaco last month, a score worth €936,500. Add to that his latest cash worth $1.3 million!
