2016 WSOP: Jason Mercier Wins His Fourth Gold Bracelet!

Jason Mercier collected $273,335 in prize money and his fourth career gold bracelet after defeating Mike Watson heads-up in Event #16:$10,000 buy-in Deuce-to-Seven Lowball (No-Limit) tournament, which was played out over three days and concluded yesterday on the ESPN main stage at the Rio in Las Vegas.

"I'd say this was the second best of the four," Mercier told WSOP interviewers when asked where this victory ranks among the four gold bracelet victories.  "The first one you get is always the most special.  But I have been wanting to win this event for a long time and to get here against this kind of field was really nice.  It also helps that I had lots of side action riding on winning a bracelet this year."

Final table results:
1. Jason Mercier $273,335
2. Mike Watson $168,936.
3. Lamar Wilkinson $120,025.
4. David Grey $86,302
5. Benny Glaser $62,810
6. Stephen Chidwick $46,277
7. Alex Luneau $34,522
8. Herezel Zalewski $26,078.
9. Jesse Martin $19,953

Many congratulations to Jason Mercier on winning this event and his fourth bracelt. This guy is in the very top echelon of poker players and it wont be long before he wins his fifth bracelet

Jason mercier is a lucky donk. Congrats on winning the tournament. But you have to admit that this guy is a lucky donkey. Mike watson deserved the win. He played much better only to get unlucky and lose a significant portion of his stack. Deuce-to-Seven Lowball is such a hipster game anyways.

tropical i agree with you Jason Mercier is really donks ... but he was incredibly lucky, and it means a lot in a game like poker ... I was lucky, too, but in the long run to me important to remain calm and not slide on tilt
