partypoker honors Tony G's Birthday with €200K PLO Event at King's Casino

Antanas Gouga, better known in the poker community as Tony G, will celebrate his 45th birthday on December 17, and partypoker honors the Lithuanian poker pro by hosting a €200,000 guaranteed PLO tournament held at King's Casino, Rozvadov, Czech Republic on December 15 and 16.

Poker players will have the chance to both wish Tony G a happy birthday as well as have the chance to play against him.

During the poker boom, Tony G was a regular player appearing on TV poker events. He is known for his peculiar yet sort of abusive table talk and frequently tries to intimidate his opponents. He has frequently word-fought against other accomplished players like Mike Matusow and Phil Hellmuth for more camera time. When he's at the table, others have had a hard time getting their own words in to the table talk.

Just like Phil Hellmuth, Tony G is the type of poker player who you will either love or hate, or even both at the same time. However, both of these two poker players really have a knack for entertaining people.

While Tony G is no longer very active as a poker pro, he occasionally plays high-stakes cash games poker. On February this year, he participated in partypoker's "The Big Game" high-stakes PLO cash game and battled against other poker pros such as partypoker ambassadors Sam Trickett and Philipp Gruissem, owner of Dusk Till Dawn casino Rob Yong, and Swedish sensation Viktor ‘Isildur1' Blom.

The Tony G PLO Birthday Tournament shall be one of the largest PLO events ever held in Europe, with a €1,100 buy-in and a sweet €200,000 guaranteed prize pool.
To spice things up, there will be a bounty on Tony G himself. The bounty prize will be revealed at a later date.

There are 4 satellites with 40 seats guaranteed to the Tony G PLO Birthday Tournament where players can qualify into the event for just €110 and €220.

It's nice to see them doing this and, if anyone deserves it, Tony G really should be honoured. He has been a force of nature over the years and i have always really enjoyed watching him

So far i cant remember seeing such a game, to honor a poker player's
birthday.
There are a few satellites in order to get a ticket for the main game.
Much cheaper than buying in directly for 1100 euro.
You can also buy in directly from your party poker account...
Wondering how many participants this one will have.

Fans of Tony G will watch his play a little of course.
This player is not always at the poker tables and deserves to be watched sometimes when he playing. Maybe this game will have around 300 players if the satellites are strong with many entries.
You guys should play if the satellites are not over. Blink

At this point in life he is just a glorified $hit-talker for me tbh.

Okay, I give them some props 'cause it was a PLO tournament after all and I like that kind of poker to be honest but one can only wonder then why would party make a big deal from somebody's birthday who stopped being a professional poker pro some time ago. Name recognition, probably...

TO CELEBRATE TONY G'S ANNIVERSARY the party gave a 200k dollar gift tournament, rather than recognition for cervisos rendered to the poker community. This is a great gift for me to see and many years to come for this very emblematic figure in the games and cash game tables always watch this crazy

Tony G. always had a sharp tongue at the tables. With him it was interesting to watch poker programs in which he experienced the strength of the nerves of opponents)))

Indeed, i always wondered how come he did get away with all his talk and his actions.
You can say that the rules of the game, save someone like that from this behavior.
Well at least so far. Cause if he continues like that, you never know what is going to happen
in the future Smile
