Phil Ivey has been spotted playing a tournament last week at the 2019 WSOP, and to make things more interesting, he’s at the same table with his namesake, Phil Hellmuth.
How would you feel if you’re sandwiched between two great poker pros, a 10-time and a 15-time WSOP bracelet winner?
Ivey and Hellmuth joined in on Event #18: $10,000 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, an event that ran from June 6 to June 9. A total of 183 players entered, building a prize pool worth $1.72 million.
Ivey was one of those who late registered into Day 2, and his return to the WSOP for the first time (in a long time) had certainly made every poker fan excited. However, that excitement was short-lived as Ivey was not among the top 23 players who were able to bag up chips at the end of the day.
Being able to play with these two legendary poker pros would be a thrill for most poker pros, and the lucky one who was sandwiched between them at one point was Jeremy Heartberg.
It's good if Phil Ivey has not been banned from playing in live tournaments. I do not know how things went with that casino that needs to receive a lot of money from him but i hope he will play without any problems in live games. He's a good player and should be seen at the tables.
It's nice to see 2 great poker pros at the same table playing one of my favourite games. The guy in the center was really lucky to sit with 2 Phils, although he did not manage to cash in the tournament. It was a great opportunity to get acquainted with 2 great players and probably learn something from them.
well he dont have prbolems to play at some live tournament and to pay buy in,but probably he will have problems if he earn something, then if judgment is on,they will take his money till they pay to 10 millions!we will see what will happen!
Of course the game against Ivy It is of course very cool .. since this is a great poker player and, of course, casino games .... it’s probably an unforgettable show that will never leave you indifferent, and therefore participation in this tournament is a wonderful experience for most people .. .. it's very cool to play against such a monster poker
Jesus Christ, Phil Hellmuth is on the Warriors bandwagon. He really has no original thoughts whatsoever is he? I wonder if he will be spotted in a Patriots jersey come February that would make the icing on the cake...
This does not really matter to them. They are just like football players. Example: Luis Figo. For them it does not matter if their fans are upset. They are ,,mercenaries''. Money is the most important and then the other things. Anyway this is not a bad thing.
For this, you have to play a lot online or live poker and to earn good money. There is a chance to meet him repeatedly, if you win that money or if your bank account has money. Honestly, it is not a good idea because you have the best chance of losing.
I dont know if it is a thrill playing with them or not. When you play a poker game for money, you are playing to win. So you need your opponents to be as easy as they can. If it was a game for fun, then yes playing with them can be a thrill. Although, we are talking about poker players here...
I know the games for fun it must be without free real money. In online poker there are many players and they play for fun. Something like that is not very good for players who trying to make money. Those who have fun when playing destroy the game of the others players.
I am not 100% sure but it seems that Ivey is only playing small field events that is only the big buy ins whereas a guy like Negreanu can be seen in 2.5k buy in events...

I am just guessing but Negreanu still has that 'grind it out' mentality in him which is somewhat justified since he could probably beat the field easier on a small scale tourney and Ivey has that millionaire playboy vibe who just would not waste time on little things.
