As part of their #Fairplay campaign, partypoker has made a lot of changes to their software, aiming to make the game safe, honest and fair for all of their players, and the latest improvement shall commence on Friday, June 28.
To Make Poker Fun and Fair Again
The first five major changes were implemented on June 17, 2019 as part of partypoker's #Fairplay campaign. This included banning HUDs, the creation of new aliases, taking down downloadable hand histories, and making it impossible to observe cash games without being seated at the table.
Now, this newest change involves the decision times in cash games - a move in response to player feedback - helping to improve player experience and therefore make the games much more fun. About the current decision times, Rob Yong said, "The settings are very old, so we are aligning with the industry standard for a faster more exciting game."
Cash Game Decision Times
No Limit Hold'em (NLHE) cash games will allow 15 seconds to make a decision pre-flop. While this rule remained the same, post-flop decision time now has been reduced from 20 seconds to just 15.
As for Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) cash games, players originally have 25 seconds to act before the flop is revealed. This time, it will be reduced to 15 seconds, just like in the NLHE cash games. As for post-flop, PLO players will have 20 seconds to act.
The reason for these latest changes is to improve player experience - by making cash games faster and more exciting to play.
Partypoker is also working on an all-new and improved time bank system, to be introduced in the near future.
All cash games, except for the fastforward tables, shall be updated starting June 28, Friday.
