Colombia's #1 in the All-Time Money List Farid Jattin has set the bar higher once again for his fellow countrymen in said category, widening the gap even more this time by winning the partypoker MILLIONS South America $10,300 High Roller Finale. He brought home a fat sum of $200,000 after outlasting a field of 84 entries.

partypoker MILLIONS South America 2020

  • Venue: Enjoy Resort & Casino in Punta del Este, Uruguay
  • Event: $10,300 buy-in, High Roller Finale
  • Schedule: February 11 to 15, 2020
  • Entries: 84
  • Prize Pool: $840,000
  • Places paid: 12

The quest for the top prize money and title was quite breezy, with the money bubble happening almost exactly when the Main Event in the same room concluded. Twelve players are set to take home a share of the prize pool, and the unlucky bubble boy award went to Damian Salas as he busted in 13th place.

Going into the final heads-up was between Rodrigo Seiji and Farid Jattin, who both had an even chip count at the start but it didn't take a long time for a winner to be declared.

Seiji lost nearly all of his stack in a huge clash with KHeart2Diamond against Jattin's ASpade6Heart, leaving the Brazilian with just 3,400,000. He then doubled up with A-Q against 7-5, then with J-6 against A-Q, and then with 8-4 against 8-2.

In the final hand, he lost with Q-2 against A-6, making Jattin the champion.

Seiji ends up with $129,800 for the runner-up finish while Jattin takes home the trophy and the $200,000 top prize money.

7 South Americans, 3 Europeans and 2 North Americans shared the prizes of this High Roller Finals tournament and i guess it wasn't such an easy game. Live poker is a phenomenon that has grown in some countries and this is a good thing beause many of us can participate in some games in our countries, but through satellites of course.

this prize are not so big,if you look over 10 K buy in,but when you see that there were only 84 players, you cant expect much!so to to win almost 20 times that you invested, istn bad for one day of play!this colombian players will remember it for sure!you dont see very often so many south americans with big wins,no matter that tournament is on uruguay!

But is significant that this tournament had so many South americans players (and winners), and a little portion of european and north americans. Somebody might think that with that buy-in, the airplane cost should be lowest. But it seems like a very important thing Confused The poker´s game and the skills are growing so fast in South america, but this list of winners does not reflect reality Shock

I don't know what to say but North Americans don't think they came in large numbers here because maybe they compare Uruguay with Venezuela... Anything is possible here because there are many talented players at poker and they are the big winners.

its not fast or cheap that players from european countries come in south america and to play poker for few days!with big buy in and other costs it can be amount that lot of people cant afford!you need to spend maybe 10 days there,so this affect on this number, but still lot of south americans!

Farid Jattin probably is a very good online poker player and here he has shown that he can win live. His skills are strong and because of that he made a lot of money. The strategy is far too difficult to learn, but he had time to learn it. What major tournaments or series do you have in Argentina my friend? There is something close to you and a poker room where are satellites for that?
