Phil Ivey wins Event #7 of partypoker MILLIONS Super High Roller Series Sochi for $856,050

Phil Ivey outlasted a field of 55 in the $50,000 buy-in partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Super High Roller Series Sochi Event #7, taking home a whopping $856,050. The event occurred on March 12 and 13.

Friday the 13th became a lucky day for the 10-time WSOP bracelet winner as he took down the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Super High Roller Series Sochi Event #7: $50,000 buy-in Short Deck tournament.

A total of 55 players shelled out $50,000 each on this Short Deck event, which generated a prize pool of $2,750,000. During the first day's action, the 55 players were whittled down to the final eight.

Even if the Short Deck format is known for being fast and intense, it still took five hours for a winner to emerge as the chip lead position changed hands multiple times. Ivey began the final table second in chips and the eventual runner-up Michael Soyza started as the chip leader.

The chip lead changed many times right until the end, with Natural8 ambassador Soyza managing to make a comeback every time Ivey was getting ahead.

The biggest pot of the tournament saw Soyza trying to close out the final, having Ivey to set all-in with middle pair on a two heart flop. Ivey then called with KHeartQHeart and spiked a flush to send Soyza's stack to a state in which it could no longer recover.

very good winfor ivey,no matter that buy in is such a big,50 K dollars,he got 856 K dollars!he can be sure that nobody cant take his money, because america dont have way to take money from russia,so he will get whole amount!I just wonder how he pay buy in for this live tournaments, does he bring so much money with him, when he dont have anything in america!very strange thing!

What a player this Phil Ivey, "nerves of steel "! Is a pleasure to see him and how he managed the rithm of the game. He make to much half bluff than all that I saw of Negreanu, and he make it without chat, and chat. I like how he play, and I like how he acts. I like the sober style and without much chatter, mimicry and giggles!

Where is Borgata Casino now. I think they are sad at this moment but Phil Ivey is a smart player and i guess he'll never give that money back. The amount is very large and is hard for him. He won impressively in this tournament and i congratulate him for this win.
 dule-vu21/03/2020 12:08:57 GMT
probably he played every of this super high roller events and he spend lot of money,so I just wonder how he pay every of that buy in!you cant tell me that he have so much cash with him,but on other hands he cant have cards from usa, when they would take his money and cover this court decision!

Back to the game for ivey, playing poker again in big tournaments.
I wonder, does he have money now to repay what he owes according to the judge
to the casino ? Smile
No matter what though, he is a good player and can win everything that he owes,
if he wants to pay back the money, by playing poker.
 maragatero22/03/2020 04:59:56 GMT
You have to think that a good player like him, have investors behind and he make the choice about wich game or tourney he may play with his partners, that might be write in a contract. The big players like Ivey, are the face of a company that works with his publicity, image, and all the business around his playing. Is really romantics thinking in him like a "lone ranger"
 CALICUL22/03/2020 11:33:33 GMT
Phil Ivey is not a player who needs sponsors and i don't think he has one. When he advertises he receives money but nobody does not pay buy-in for his tournaments and after that to share the profit. A professional player, if he is not bankrupt, does not like to be helped in this way.

Au contraire.

Selling pieces of their action is exactly what professional players do.

Professionals also buy pieces of other professionals action.

thanks crankmuppet on this post Worship Worship Worship !thats what I talking about for two years!nothing to read, spaming in every thread, just collecting points, not a single normal post with some advice or comment, giving people wrong informations and so on!like in last days, wrtie in 6,7 threads only about corona and in every thread how everything is lie and so on,but nothing about that thread what is in headline!

What´s the taste to be a judge? I don´t know, nobody are donating the cents that are getting to a beneficial work, an hospital or something. I don´t like some point of view, and few times I argue with whoever expresses them, but I never disqualify your intentions. I am not the one to do it, and nobody asks me to do it. It really is unpleasant when you speak ill of a person. So they are not making a great contribution to the theme, only feeding the chain of hatred

There is no misinformation. When i said sponsor i was referring to buy-in. Phil Ivey can make advertise and receive money because he offered his image, but it has nothing to do with what i said above. I don't understand why you put here another article? You can't talk about this thread about another. You could leave an answer there, not here.

Facts speak for themselves.

In many, many threads he writes "corona virus is a lie". He is welcome to his opinion. He should open a new "corona virus is a lie" thread, voice his opinions and provide any factual data to support his opinion. Others can voice their opinions supporting him or providing opposing opinions, perhaps with factual data to support their arguments.

That's reasonable debate.

Writing "corona virus is a lie" in multiple threads and quite often in multiple posts in multiple threads is my definition of spam.

That's my opinion, supported by the arguments I have provided above.

I did not stoop to calling him vulgar names or insulting his mother.

Down vote me all you want. It means nothing to me. I am not an insecure child.

My arguments stand for themselves as do my opinions.

That thread was linked to support my argument.

I knew that you were referring to buy-in.

You were aware that Phil accepts buy-in contributions from his "sponsors" because you posted several times in the linked thread.

So either you didn't actually read that thread and just posted randomly for points, you have forgotten reading that thread, you have changed your mind in this thread, or you are just posting randomly in this thread for points.

Down vote away.

if you show old post and give every argument,he will say that your are not right!its same like he write in every thread about slots, but he said so many times that he dont play slots!one month ago (something like that),he even write post where he will try that slot and tomorrow he write another post where he say that he dont like casino games and slots and that its not for him!for smart person its enough!

Happy to watch Ivey winning this event , he needed to win sth after so long . He's awesome player , everyone knows it , so many winnings and wins , he's one of the kind , also very good in short deck holdem . I hope he continues having very good results and wins , hopefully when live tournaments begin again if the virus outbreak gets under control and restrictions then be lifted . Good luck Ivey Smile
 dule-vu24/03/2020 14:35:19 GMT
now will be good to see how he will play trough whole year and will he play only on this high roller tournaments or he will choose some of this 1000 or 2000 $ tournament that are played in europe!ofcourse this high roller tournaments are much better for him, because he play only against maybe 50 players, but on smaller you can play with 500 players, which is big difference, especially when he win it!
 CALICUL24/03/2020 14:40:04 GMT
I contradict you again. Phil Ivey is a professional player who is based on his abilities. He doesn't need sponsors to share the money with them, when he has a profit. I don't understand why you're telling me other things, because is not spam. I only respond to certain people, but i hate to write with quotes ( it takes up too much space ). You have coronavirus and you want to quarrel with me? Relax and enjoy your life. Smile

As I said, the bad wave is a chain hard to break. Is not necesary that you insult somebody to introduce the hate. Only with assum the judge roll and feel the need of give an opinion about who is talking well or not. That is not the play. Nobody of us is the designated judge. Only the BRM administrator might banned some participation...you must live and allow to live!

#1 - I don't think copy/pasting the same thing will get you the points you are looking for.

#2 - You are judging me here and you are telling me I am not talking well and yet you say that nobody is the designated judge. You are a paradox maragatero.

You are two mature people and you must end the quarrel with any mobster. Phil Ivey can advertise any casino, sportsbook or any poker room, but i haven't read about him that someone pays their entries to certain tournaments. He doesn't need this kind of help. He is stable on his power and i congratulate him.

Dear calicul,

Since you are too lazy to read the linked article (for the first time or again), which you posted 6 comments in (after either not reading the article, or having read the article), I shall quote from the article the relevant facts:

This week, however, Daniel "Jungleman" Cates and Illya Trincher have filed an objection in court, claiming that they backed Ivey for 100% of his WSOP plays this summer, and naturally they want their share of his winnings.

So which is it Calicul?

You did not read the article you posted in 6 times?

You have forgotten what you read in the article?

No reply necessary. Credibility is hard won and easily lost.

 dule-vu26/03/2020 13:23:35 GMT
You will get answer only when 24 hours pass, that he can post and get 10 points!
No matter what you write,he will say that you are wrong, even you are right 100 % and his post have no sense!
 CALICUL26/03/2020 19:44:57 GMT
Dear Crankmuppet, the first job what you need to do is to read what i told you and to understand. You will not understand a second time, it is your business... Ask your friend dule-vu who is the first desperate to make points on this site. Nobody beat him with that... He also has no shame to asking the administrator when the money enters into his account. Incredible... Great success with your games and please never bother me again because i like to respect people and i will not answer. Thumbs Up

Pleading the fifth on the grounds that answering the questions might incriminate you.

Common defense for guilty parties.

After much deliberation (okay - 1 second), respondent is found guilty of all charges and sentenced to be ignored until the end of time.

Case closed.

Kangaroo court of crankmuppet adjourned. Hit PC
