Win Your Way into the 2020 Irish Open Main Event for as low as €1.10
- Satellites for the Main Event are now running at partypoker!

If you want to join in on the action, you can do so from as low as €1.10, and satellites to other events will be added in the coming days. Aside from the cash prizes, trophies will be awarded to all championship event winners.

To make the events feel a lot like live poker, just like the usual Irish Open, players will be able to talk to each other on "real name" terms, with players' names being shown at the tables instead of aliases.

JP McCann from the Irish Poker Open said, "Since our announcement last week regarding the postponement of Irish Open 2020, considerable efforts have been made to find an alternative date to run Irish Open 2020. However, as the uncertainty surrounding live poker events continues, we feel that the best decision to take at this point is to cancel the live festival for 2020.

We would like to thank partypoker for taking the initiative to help ensure Europe's oldest running Poker Festival goes ahead during these very challenging times.  We hope to see you for the first time ever on the virtual tables for the 40th Anniversary of the Irish Open."

partypoker Managing Director Tom Waters, said: "We are delighted to be associated with Europe's oldest poker festival.  The Irish Open is a truly unique event and following the disappointment of its cancellation this year, an online Irish Open festival looks a perfect fit for both event organizers and partypoker."

Louise Butler of team partypoker said, "The Irish Open is my favorite event of the year. I'm absolutely delighted that the series will go ahead on partypoker. The Irish poker community was so disappointed when the live series was cancelled and I think bringing it online for 2020 was a great decision. Every Irish player dreams of winning this event and this year they can dream of doing it in their pajamas."

yeah, this was only normal decision,to move this irish open on online and that players still can play it!ofcourse this is much different things and lot of players who wouldnt travel to play live, now maybe will, because they can play from home!so this isnt same game anymore, but still good option for those who love to play big buy in tournaments!

Right now, online poker is the best to play because of the Coronavirus. The rooms did not prepare so well to have good satellites and tournaments, but we play what exists. Party P. offers something very nice here and you have time to qualify for a good game.

That´s a good desition that should be copy by all the big house of poker. If the energy and the net servers find the way to keep working without any maintenance, we can become in the poker´s cockroaches! able to continue playing online on the scariest world stages. Surely, like now, we could saturate the forums by sharing our fear, but only a 'direct impact' would make us stop playing!

Good that they decided not to cancel Irish open tournaments , but instead play them online on PartyPoker platform . With all these cancelations of live poker events , now we see the importance of online pokerooms , thankfully they exist and provide the opportunity for all live or online poker players to keep on playing their favorite poker games , even in these corona virus times . Many tournaments on this Irish Open Online , good opportunities to make some money , there are satellites very cheap , which is also very nice Smile

Good luck everyone playing Irish Open Online Series Smile
