The first weekend of the year 2021 is already a memorable moment for partypoker player "upeshka", who won an incredible sum of $51,500 in one event of the KO Series.
upeshka was the last player standing in the $320 buy-in New Year Kick Off event, a $300,000 guaranteed tournament that saw $428,100 paid out. The overall champion collected $27,105 from the main prize pool plus an additional bounty payment worth $24,429 - a superb score indeed!
All seven finalists earned at least $7,600 which ended up in their partypoker accounts, with the top 5 finishers winning five-figure prizes.

| I only want to congratulate the winners. For sure, this win is a good money and for sure he must be happy with this win. Maybe this was a win from a small cheap satellite, or from a free ticket that he get through one of the promotion. Looks like this is really a good to start New Year with such a win. I think he must be anyway a good poker player, because i think you need to have some poker skills to be able to play well and especially to win it. PartyPoker as usual makes a really good knockout Series!

with this kind of buy in I would expect more play and bigger money in this kind of tournament,especially because you win money on both sides,from prize pool and from KO from players!when you see you didnt have even 1500 players on this kind of tournament,which I would expect!I know that I played some of poker stars tournaments last days and there you can find lot more players with lower buy in and with bigger prize pool,also KO series!
but ofcourse this is very nice first prize!

| It is truly a remarkable performance for this player and can only happen once in a lifetime for many players. Professional gamblers can more easily achieve these 1st positions, but the others is very hard to succeed 2-3 times. Anyway, is very good for him.

| I think everyone like this Knockout series tournaments just because you can have some easy money just for knocking out some players. Even if you don,t finish in the money you can have some cash just for knock-out someone from the tournament. Especially this can be good for players, who won the place in the tournament from a couple cheap satellites. For sure this can be good for them to get some easy money for the bankroll, even if they can,t play well at some kind of tournaments.

| I like these knockout tournaments and i will see on Saturday and Sunday what options i have to play. When in a game are more players it is the best, because you can hope for a better gain. It's beautiful anyway. A win like Upeshka is unreal to me.

| What annoys me a lot in poker tournaments is that some players receive a lot of good cards. This thing leads them to final table and sometimes 1st place. I don't know what happens with that software because they are so favored many times. At my level I could do more but luck does not come. For professional it's different.
