Michael Tureniec won the EPT Copenhagen Main Event (€496,271)

Not less than 3 Swedish poker players, Michael Tureniec, Nikolas Liakos & Per Linde, made it to the final table of the EPT Copenhagen Main Event. After many hours of poker, Linde and Tureniec were the last 2 men standing. Then it took almost 3,5 hours before Tureniec managed to defeat his fellow countryman.

Michael Tureniec received nothing less than 3,700,000 DKK or about 496,000 EURO for the win. This is the second biggest win in his poker career ($961,902 - 2008 EPT London).

EPT Copenhagen: Swedes dominated Day 2 of the Main Event

Another day of the Main Event is now in the books. 262 players have become 73 and the final table, where lots of cash is up for grabs, is not far away! In the lead is Michael Tureniec from Sweden (picture), followed by another 2 Swedes - Per Linde and Joel Nordqvist.

Day 2 of the EPT Copenhagen Main Event was, as you probably already figured out, dominated by the Swedish poker players. There are a few big names who will return to play Day 3 of the tournament. For example, JP Kelly in 4th place, and further down in the felt are Johnny Lodden and Juha Helppi.
