24 players have chips left and now we're only one day away from the final table where some serious cash is up for grabs. The 2 most notable players in the remaining field are Team PokerStars Pros Victor Ramdin from USA and Alex Gomes from Brazil. Things have changed quite a bit in the top of the field since the start of Day 3. Ole-Kristian Nergard, the Day 3 chip leader from Norway, is in 23rd place with only 105k left, and Kristoffer Thorson, the Day 3 runner-up, is no longer in the tournament. Nothing worked for the Swede during Day 3 and ended up in 56th place for €25,000.

Norwegian young gun leads the EPT Madrid Main Event

Posted on 10 May 2011 by "T".

The first two starting days and day 2 of the EPT Madrid Main Event have already been played. 104 out of 686 players will return to play day 3 in a few hours. The remaining field of players includes many PokerStars sponsored players. Victor Ramdin, Alex Gomes and Daniel Weinman - just to mention 3 who can be found in the top of the field.

Leading the tournament is Ole Kristian Nergard from Norway, closely followed by Kristoffer Thorsson (not William Thorson's brother). Nergard missed out on the Main Event last year by a matter of hours, not turning 18 until after the Main Event had begun. It be very interesting to follow him and Thorsson during day 3 of the tournament.

We will return with an update as soon as Day 3 is over.
