The 2016 PCA Main Event concluded last Friday at the Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island in the Bahamas! In total, the tournament attracted 928 entrants who battled it out for several days until only one player remained, Mike Watson.
Leonardo Pires, the hyper-aggressive Brazilian who led the tournament for three consecutive days, didn't make it to the PCA Main Event final table. Despite the fact that Pires entered Day 5 with more than 25% of the chips in play, he still ended up hitting the rail already in 13th place for $45,860.
1,475 players turned up for the $1,500 Mixed-Max event when it kicked off on Monday. After three long days of poker, long-time pro Jared Jaffe had all the chips in play after eliminating fellow American pro Mike Watson in second place. Jaffe received $405,428 in prize money and earned his first World Series of Poker gold bracelet!
Only 7 players of 337 entries remain in the €2,200 9-handed No-Limit Hold'em event after two days of action-packed poker. Erik Seidel will lead the remaining squad of players to today's final table where a first prize of €148,820 is put aside for the winner.
