Last night, 49 hopeful players returned to the Playground Poker Club for Day 3 of the partypoker WPT Montreal Main Event. They were already guaranteed $8,930 each, but of course everyone did their outmost to make it through the day and move one step closer to the final table - where $409,656 is waiting for the winner.

Maduka Meragal As soon as the partypoker WPT UK Main Event was about to finish this weekend, the 2014 partypoker WPT Montreal Main Event kicked off in Canada. The tournament attracted 732 players and the final 49 players will return today for Day 3. Out in front is Maduka Meragal with 1,423,000 in chips - about 350k more than Marc-Andre Ladocuer in second place.

Only six players remain after four days of intensive play at the PartyPoker WPT Montreal Main Event at the Playground Poker Club in Canada. Day 3 chip leader Sylvain Siebert is still in the lead and will bring 8.4 million chips to today's televised final table.

Only 59 of 862 players remain after two days (well, four days if you include the starting days) of intensive poker at the PartyPoker World Poker Tour Montreal Main Event.

Although a lot of big names fell during Day 2, including Phil Laak, Matt Salsberg, Gavin Smith and Antonio Esfandiari, there are still quite a few familiar faces left in the mix of players who still have the chance of going all the way to the title and the top prize of half a million dollars!
