The poker player who has made himself super busy during the first half of the year 2018 and has been reaping a lot of cash prizes and recognition for all his hard work is none other than Justin Bonomo, and now the latest achievement that he can potentially put under his name could be that he'll win a summer tournament that is worth $10 million in cash prize.

2018 WSOP's Event #78: The Big One for One Drop has 3 days of play in schedule. After 2 days of action, Bonomo is at the top of the chip holders with six players (himself included) remaining. Bonomo's chip arsenal is 48,950,000 at the end of Day 2, which is actually twice than that of the next player Fedor Holz, which is at 22,125,000.

End of Day 2 Chip Counts

Player

Chips

Justin Bonomo

48,950,000

Fedor Holz

22,125,000

Dan Smith

21,450,000

Rick Salomon

19,650,000

David Einhorn

12,300,000

Byron Kaverman

10,525,000

With a total of 27 players who dropped $1 million for the buy-in, here's a look at the full payout table for this event:

Place

Payout

1

$10,000,000

2

$6,000,000

3

$4,000,000

4

$2,840,000

5

$2,000,000

As you can see from the above table, the next one to be eliminated shall unfortunately walk away empty-handed while everyone else would secure at least $2 million.

At the start of day 2, Bonomo came in below the starting stack, and so naturally Rainier Kempe, Brian Rast and Byron Kaverman started the day with more chips than him. While the cream of the crop such as Adrian Mateos, Mikita Badziakouski and Daniel Negreanu failed to make it to the final table, Bonomo on the other hand kept on piling his stack up by busting Jason Koon and Matthew Siegal.

Bonomo then bested Dominik Nitsche's hand and then he busted out Phil Ivey in 8th place.

Of course, Bonomo's main objective is to win the sweet $10 million first prize in this event, and he also said that he's also aiming for another goal, "One thing I have been thinking about is the all time money list and it would be kind of sweet if I passed Negreanu. I was actually thinking at the start of this tournament I really hope Negreanu doesn't win, because that'll set me back five years. Of course, now, I have a really good shot to pass him."

In order to surpass Daniel Negreanu's record $39.6 million, Bonomo needs around $7 million more. If he manages to win half of that amount, it can potentially catapult him past Seidel for second place.

Here's the top 20 All-Time Money List according to the Hendonmob.com.

Yes this justin bonomo guy plays super amazing year and it is still many months to finish year 2018. So many more chances to get more wins. I personally not understand how he can win so much because he play versus best pokers players in world and just eliminate them again and again in every tournament he play

Justin Bonomo is in a form of great days. Daniel Negreanu is no longer in shape and in the near future he will lose position 1 if he will not return to the form he once had. I do not know what's going on with Daniel, i do not know his personal life, but i think she needs a relation with a woman, because i have the impression he is alone at this moment. Probably that's why he plays poorly.

Justin Bonomo is continuing his fantastic run and he really is a phenom. He is bossing all the super high roller games of late and it will be fascinating to see if he wins this one as well

This player has a tremendous talent in poker but also has a fabulous luck. It is not bad for a player who has cheated on online platforms and was caught in 2006 on Partypoker. Probably did so in other rooms but he got away. Anyway is first in winnings now with almost 43 millions dollars. Is huge.
