Triton Poker SHR Series Jeju HKD250K Short Deck Event won by Justin Bonomo for $586K

The opening event of the 2019 Triton Poker Super High Roller Series has been won by none other than the current number 1 player in the All-Time Money List, Justin Bonomo.

Short Deck Poker, also called 6-Plus Hold’em, is a card poker game based on Texas Hold’em. While the rules are mostly the same, short deck poker is played with a 36-card deck instead of 52. The deck is reduced by removing all cards 2 through 5. This game type became popular in the East Asian high-stakes cash game circuit. Check out the hand rankings here.

EPT Sanremo: Brandon Barnes Leads The High Roller Going Into Day 2

With 74 players and 10 reloads, a total field size of 84 entries created a prize pool of €823,200, and the winner will get €288,000! At the end of day, 45 players remained with Brandon Barnes as the chip leader (211,700). Notables who also finished Day 1 with big stacks were Justin Bonomo (190k - on the left) & Luca Pagano (188k - on the right).

EPT Sanremo: Inge Forsmo Remains In The Lead After Day 3

The third Day of the EPT Sanremo main event is in the books. The day kicked off with 163 players and the player-field was narrowed down to 66 throughout the day. Day 2 chip leader Inge Forsmo, from Norway, will bring a stack of 1,021,000 chips to play today - about 160k more than his closest opponenets: Charly Maracchione, Angelo Recchia and Caremlo Vasta.

For those not familar with the names above, Shaun Deeb, Isaac Haxton, Justin Bonomo, David Vamplew (just to mention a few) are great, well-known players who made it through Day 3 and still have the chance of reaching the final table where a €800,000 first place prize is up for grabs.

The second day of the WPT Grand Prix de Paris main event saw a field of 228 players. It was a very slow day, with nobody really willing to put their entire stack at risk. On the final 30-minute level, five or six players had about 100k each and battled for the top spot.

Yesterday we wrote about Justin Bonomo and what a fantastic chance he had to take down his second EPT Monaco High Roller event as he carried a massive lead to the final table. But unfortunately nothing seemed to work for Bonomo on the final table and he fell short in bid for a second High Roller title after getting knocked out in 4th place by Daniel Negreanu.

Yesterday we reported that Justin Bonomo, who had a huge lead when the final table begun, was playing against Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and Tobias Reinkemeier for the title and a first prize of €1,640,000!

Bonomo had an enormous chip advantage at this point and it didn't take long before he had knocked out both ElkY and Reinkemeier (his toughest opponent on the final table, according to himself) and was the last man standing.
