vip-carlVIPStakes Sports betting representative The VIPStakes sports representative that blogged from Brazil during the World Cup is back with a series of Sports Blogs in which he will write about the upcoming Premier League. Here's a short introduction about this season's teams, some predictions and betting advice!
Stoke City FC
Last season:
After many years under Tony Pulis and his conservative type of play it was time for a change to a more attacking and exciting football under Mark Hughes. The first half of the season didn’t go too well but after Christmas the teams started to pick up wind. Players such as Peter Odenwingie and Marko Arnautovic played their best game and together with Crystal Palace and Liverpool they were the best team of the second half of the season.
2014/15-season preview:
After the positive last season Hughes are now trying to build on that performance. He has brought in former United striker Mame Diouf, the experienced PL players Phil Bardsley and Steve Sidwell. And maybe the most exciting one, former Barcelona prodigy Bojan Krkic
Player profile:
Bokan Krkic in Stoke? If you said that a few years back no one would’ve believed you. But the times are changing for Bojan as well as for Stoke. Mark Hughes is the man who has managed to convince the former wonderkid that he is the right person to get his career back on track again. It will definitely be interesting to follow.
Summary:
It is not always an easy transition to readjust from being a destructive team into playing an attacking football. Despite a tough start Stoke managed to handle the transition very well. With a couple of very talented players on their hands they are now aiming for a Europa League spot this year.
Prediction:
8th place
Betting suggestion:
Head-2-head vs. West Brom @1.60 under Premier League -> Head-2-head
