The game's story is set in the fictional realm of Teleria, which has been seized by the Dark Lord Siroth. To defeat the Dark Lord and restore peace to the territory, players take on the role of an ancient Telerian warrior resurrected by the Arbiter, Teleria's immortal guardian.
Players must assemble an army for battles in various settings such as castles, deserts, dungeons and temples teeming with enemies and potential allies.
Throughout the game, players collect Shards, vessels that hold the souls of past warriors. Shards come in four forms with different properties.
The game has two types of currency: Silver, which is quite easy to find, and Gems, which are a lot harder to obtain.
Also, there is an Energy cost for running any of the campaign and dungeon stages. Without Energy available one cannot progress in the campaign, it runs out quickly, and after their first day, players will have to be wise on how they use it.
The game mainly centers on a single player's story campaign which is made up of 12 levels, and each level consists of seven stages with three difficulty levels. The single-player campaign is integrated with a multiplayer component, the Arena, to determine player rankings. Players can also join a Clan, which entails members fighting a Clan Boss together to gain access to chest rewards.
