Buyin is 100 mob points, which tony will remove and hold in escrow. Payout will be 70/30, meaning 70% for first and 30% for second.
The tourney will be a standard elimination bracket. 8 people on the west, 8 on the east. Each round will be a best of 3 heads up no limit texas holdem match. It doesn't matter what stake you play or where you play, the only stipulation is that the matches MUST be 100 big blinds.
Once each round is announced, you and your opponent will have 3 days to complete your match. Extensions CAN be granted under extenuating circumstances, but out of courtesy it's best to try and finish them as soon as you can.
To start off the tourney, each player will randomly be assigned a number from 1 - 16. I'll randomly choose #'s to pair people up.

I wanna say I'm super stoked this is going ahead. Shows what a great community we really have here I think this should be a pretty epic battle.

Im not sure, that's something Admin would have to clear up. I'm pretty sure, from my experience anyways, that as long as you click a BRM affiliate link, your signup gets credited to them. Once that happens, you're "THEIR" customer forever.
I do believe that you have to accept an offer prior to creating an account, so YES signing up at a site without getting a bonus referral first may end up disqualifying you. But I mean realistically, the Part Pokerbonus is the easiest to get on here, so if anything else why not just do that.

marqis, if you create an account through our link, and you only use playmoney to begin with, then the signup bonus should (usually) still be available for you later on, when you make a deposit.

@ Tony and Retribution: Thanks. I think that will work for me. I'm already on PP, it's just that I might try to clear the Pokerstars bonus at some point in the furture, so I would like to avoid having to sign up there. Should not be a problem.

I think you may have misread my posting (maybe my turn of phrase was a bit awkward).
I'm simply expressing that I would like some of the more prolific members to join, cause it's more fun to have the well known forum members play (added value).
I suppose you took my post to mean that some members that have signed up, shouldn't have. I definitely do not feel that way, as I probably would qualify as one of the least deserving of a spot...
Value would be added if some of the match-ups reflect some of the clashes we've had on the forum, or if some of the stronger, well-known forum members match-up. I would pay some MobPoints to see this happening, and if more of us would, that would make for a nice side-game prize-fight...
