On Monday, the wheels stopped on a $1.2 million prize pool for the first time in Spin & Go history on PokerStars! The three handed $5 buy-in tournament lasted less than 15 minutes and Russia's "sss66666" ended up getting the biggest slice of the prize pool, 1,000,000 US dollars!
The other two players received $100,000 each, so they probably weren't that disappointed with what they had won in [...] Read more » Russian Wins $1 million in $5 Spin & Go!

it had to be russian...
not a bad return on the fiver invested, even $100K for just participating would satisfy my need for alcohol for 2015 and a few years beyond... cheers for jokerstars for such great promos where you have virtually no chance to win sth.

The winner had played solely freerolls the days before... one of the runner ups played solely freerolls + MTTs up to $0.27.. Now out of the sudden this huge hit? Also the winner is or at least was a multiaccounter (there's a nickname that has one 6 less than winners account who played the same freerolls as him a few times, but the account is locked)... Sorry but this is the first time I don't believe this is all real... Congrats though if it is.

I would hate to be the guy that came out second (or third). Probablly wouldn't be able to sleep for at least a week. Getting so close to a 1M$ prise and ending up with nothing is just heart breaking. Hope he didn't crash his computer frustrated.

They got $100k. Not bad, huh?
yeah, but between 1M$ and 100k$ is a lot of diference... 1m is life changing money, 100k isnt that much life changing...

Sure there's a big difference, but $100K not being life changing? Not sure what you're thinking, but having an extra $100K would very well change my whole life in pretty much ALL aspects..

Hmm... Missed that part. well for 5$ a 100k$ reward is still pretty nice. Although it's not 1M$ I would still be happy to get it. When they introduce the spin 'n' go I checked the odds of getting each prise and If I wanted to chase lucky dreams I would hit the casino. I'm affraid they are trying to insert the casino into the poker rooms and I don't like that. Hope it will not get worse in the future

That really is one hell of a lucky guy, just imagine spending just $5 and then realising you will be playing for $1 million! At least the players who finished second and third did receive a "consolation" prize of 100k so at all three players would have been quite happy with their $5 investment.

I get tired of playing this promotion and did not get any good prize, I prefer to play head up and sit and go with fixed prizes and lower risk, this promo is made for giles

If this guy was a multiaccounter for real i wonder why he is still with Pokerstars i think that a guy like that should be banned from the site. I just dont understand

Maybe they'll ban him. Who knows?
Those spin'n'goes are weird for me. I don't think they're random. When I tried to play $1 buy-in Spn&G, almost everytime prize pool was the same (minimal). I don't think it's random.
Today dollar in the Russia costs almost 2 times more, than in previous years. If he will withdraw them and convert into the roubles he'd become very rich

Only just read the post by BeMyATM,if the winner was in fact a multi accounter would this mean that the prize would be withheld? Surely Pokerstars are going to investigate and do as much due diligence as is possible before they pay out a million dollars? That would be one hell of a blow to have won $1m and then have it taken away because you wanted to play a few extra freerolls.

...I think if he bought $1 million US dollars worth of a currency that has basically crashed (rubles) due to Western sanctions, it could go one of 2 ways....:
1) Putin will not relent, the ruble will not recover, and buddy would lose a large percentage of his money...
OR
2) He will turn lead into gold by buying a million dollars worth of a worthless currency, and if it rebounds he would stand to nearly DOUBLE his winnings by gambling on the vunerable ruble...!
BUT
...if I understand correctly,...if the guy has multiple accounts and gets banned and his winnings revoked,...then I guess he'll be crying in his borscht...

Dollar's price is going down now. I heard Russia wouldn't sell some products for dollars in the future to some countries. Also, they doing something with China and other pro-Russian countries.
If it was me, I would buy roubles and then buy the gold and estate with them.
