With the 2019 WSOP currently ongoing, the WSOP has announced this Sunday, June 23, the top 10 finalists eligible for the 2019 Poker Hall of Fame. Just one or two will be inducted.

The list of 10 poker players was created after a process of public nomination and a vetting of these nominations by the Poker Hall of Fame Governing Council. The decision now falls in the hands of 30 living members and 21 poker-industry media experts to determine who gets inducted.

Man Admits to decapitating Casino Patron in Montana

One of two men who were charged with decapitating a casino patron has now pleaded guilty.

According to a report from the Billings Gazette, Jeffery Glen Haverty, age 34, pleaded guilty on Monday in Yellowstone County District court to deliberate homicide.

Haverty (pictured left) and his companion Donald Ray Cherry (pictured right), age 32, were charged with deliberate homicide in the death of 41-year-old Myron Wesley Knight on October 26, 2017.

A 26-year-old lady tagged as Russia's "sexiest" or "most beautiful" poker player has been found dead in her bathroom. It is believed that she died due to a massive electric shock from a hairdryer.

Liliya Novikova was at home alone when her lifeless body was discovered on the floor at her bathroom in Moscow on Tuesday, June 11.

Man Robbed after Hitting Jackpot Twice at Casino

A man who hit the jackpot twice last week at a Milwaukee casino immediately had his great luck go drastically turn to a bad one as he was robbed a few days later.



A resident of Milwaukee, Christopher Czarnecki, won $12,000 at the slot machines of Potawatomi Hotel and Casino on June 3. He won another $13,000 on June 5 in the same casino.

Czarnecki said regarding his winnings, “I was excited as heck.”
