Luke Schwartz - "I don't regret anything!"

Tags: ept, full tilt, high roller, Luke Schwartz, sandwich.
Posted on 21 October 2009 by "T".

The poker millionaire Luke Schwartz has been a big talk about lately after that he got banned 2-3 times in no time from all the casinos in the UK. However, the thing that most people associate Luke with, is when he took a sandwich and refused to pay for it. Now he speaks out about the incident that gave him the nickname "sandwichgate".

"I had just gone out of the tournament during Day 2 of EPT London. I was in a very bad mood at that time and there was a really long queue to pay for the food. There wasn't a chance in the world that I would wait that long just to pay for a sandwich."

He continues...

"I have paid around $1000 in rake just to play in the High Roller Event and EPT. Who cares about a sandwich for £5? It should be free!"

Luke Schwartz is aware that many people don't agree with him about this. But it's nothing he cares about.

"I have better things to do than to worry about what these retarded people think about me"

Normal people think:"Who the hell is this guy?"

Come on BRM. Leave the gossip to Perez Hilton and Co. These are not poker news.

The only thing I can subscribe is:
I have paid around $1000 in rake just to play in the High Roller Event and EPT. Who cares about a sandwich for £5? It should be free!"

But it doesn't allow you to have a good behaviour as all other players

Sorry I made a mistake.
I wanted to say he is as all players and has to pay and to treat casino employers as human beings.

Hmm I can understand where he comes from. It's true that he if he spended 1000$ in rake, they should be allowed to get drinks or food for free i guess

If he spent $1000 in rake then I'm sure he could have easily requested and received a free sandwich.

Paying $1000 or even $1000000 in rake doesn't entitle you to a thing and certainly doesn't give you the right to shoplift or dine and dash.

This guy is just an egomaniacal tool who's new found riches went straight to the head.

Don't post more news about this guys. He is really annoyed and he does not deserve this kind of attention.

You can just walk into any half decent casino or even bookmakers these days and get free food and drink without gambling a cent.Let him have his bloody sandwich!!!

Looks like he really wants to impose this rebeld image. I dont know if this is the best way, but at least he can be remembered in the news of poker (just for a few days) as the kid-that-knew-the-boss-and-could-make-stupid-things.
