Day 1c brought the biggest starting field so far in the tournament with almost 50% more than both day 1a and day 1b together. Day 1c included the best and most well known players as well. To mention a few of them, Gus Hansen, Phil Laak, Joe Hachem, John Juanda, Scotty Nguyen and JC Tran.
288 players came to start in Day 1c. The starting field included poker pros, amateurs, locals and celebrities. All of them probably with common dream of making it to Day 2 and then making it to the final table. But only 53 of them would survive to Day 2. Of these 53 players we find Ben Charltion in the top with 161,000 chips and Luis Pampliega not far behind with his 143,600 chips. Some of the notable pros that made it to Day 2 are Joe Hachem (38,175), Phil Laak (36,000) and Scotty Nguyen (51,725).
