Ladies and gentlemen, we only have to wait another 2 days before the 2010 World Series of Poker kicks off at Rio in Las Vegas. We have 57 action filled events ahead of us, and hopefully there will be lots of interesting side events and cash games going on as well. We should't forget though, World Series of Poker isn't just the biggest and most popular poker tournament that is played for 2 months every year, but also that it's a poker tour as well.
A few days ago the WSOP circuit made the last stop at Harrahs in New Orleans. TJ Clouthier (6 WSOP bracelets), the man who hit the headlines earlier this year when he sold one of his WSOP bracelets, and many other notables took part in the tournament. It also came to be a notable who took home the tournament. Fred Berger (WSOP bracelet winner) received the first place prize of $197,584 and free entry to the Main Event in July for the win of the tournament. A big congratulations to him!
