Do you remember Martonas? For those who don't remember him, I can inform you that he's from Sweden and used to play high stakes at Full Tilt Poker over a year ago. When Martonas started showing up at Full Tilt, he won about $2.5 million in less than 2 weeks time (most of it from durrrr) and create headlines all over the poker world. But it didn't take long before he lost it all again (most of it to durrrr) and disappeared from the scene shortly after.
Many thought that we would have to wait for a very long time before another unknown player like Martonas would show up and play against the world's best. However, most people forgot about him almost straight away when another unknown swede entered the scene and broke all the records. You know who I'm talking about, right?
Anyhow, on Sunday, after about a year of total absence, Martonas made a long-awaited (if you ask me at least) comeback at Full Tilt. He played Pot Limit Omaha at the $50/$100 - $200/$400 tables against URnotINdagner2 and other notables. After about 2000 hands, he had lost about $900 and decided to call it a day. In other words, no amounts that players at these levels care much about. Let's hope for more action from Martonas this week!
