Amazing Comeback by Isildur1

Viktor "Isildur1" Blom has been lying low since he returned home after the 2012 World Series of Poker, but yesterday he finally made a comeback on PokerStars. He started in the afternoon with $3-4k stacks on six $25/$50 Pot-Limit Omaha tables. The short-stack strategy worked very well and he built up a nice $40,000 stack in no-time.

Blom took his $40k stack and moved to the $50/$100 PLO tables. There he played against Ronny "1-ronnyr3" Kaiser and Joeri "L0ve2playU" van deer Sman and lost everything in just half an hour. Blom left the table after that and it seemed like he had stopped for the day.

However, after midnight (CET) he was back at the $50/$100 PLO tables once again. He did quite well for about 3 hours before he decided to switch to the $100/$200 PLO tables - where he faced players such as Jens "Jeans89" Kyllönen, Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky. Blom did very well for the next 2 hours or so and also managed to win his biggest pot of the day ($94,873).

In total, Blom played 3784 hands and won $173,013 yesterday. In other words, a very good start to his comeback. Let's hope that he will be back at the tables today again.

Like you Tony I would be happy to win that in a lifetime?????? I wonder if he really worries when he loses $40000 as he did in the first session. I should imagine it is like you and I losing a fiver. It is good to watch him and interesting to see what hands he wins a pot with.

GL to him and you all...................One day that will be one of us..........We can all dream it don't cost anything !!!!!!

Alert for rookies: don’t go on trying to follow Isildur1’s strategy of climbing this fast in BB levels! Don’t try this at home. He is a known pro with proofs given at the tables in any of this levels and also higher, he can chose to play where he wants and we should not try to understand with did he changed that much, or even why did he played so low if he’s used to play higher. The truth is he knows what he does at the tables.

actually i would recommend dividing your bank into two separate bankrolls and play tight, follow bankroll management rules, pick your opponents etc. with one bankroll- and go and try something similar as isildur is doing: start as small stack and try to double up and go up the limits- just have a point at which you stop, i.e. after 4 double ups...

that a good news...I like watching isuldur play...Its very unpredictable....and very risky...many of his opponents are really having a hard time reading his hand...

Wow pretty sick sessions.

And yeah sure for us that's an amount we'd gladly take any day - dudes are on a whole nother level.

They're edges are razor thin, I think a lot of the results come down to who has the biggest balls/ is most crazy, willing to shove with fluff

I see your point, but only regular rookies should go for that split bankroll strategy, or else they will have one account with small hard conquered profits (the one that follows the rules) and another one with huge rallies followed by bigger crashes that most probably will end up soon with a $0 balance. That can be good for the player in terms of trying new things, but those who only take advantage of no deposit bónus shouldn’t think about trying to apply this technique to one of their bónus, or else it can be jus tone more oportunity thrown away.
So, redefining my alert for rookis: Go like pochui says, but only when you invest your real Money, that way you will be even more focused on what you will be doing at the tables, because you know that, if you lose, it’s your real Money that you’re loosing, and not just some Money a company gave you to try something new.
