It's now official which poker players that were picked for Poker Hall of Fame this year. Barry Greenstein and Linda Johnson, both from USA, are the new inductees who have received the honorable title that makes sure that they always will be remembered as good poker players that contributed a lot to the poker scene.
Linda Johnson, 58, is one of 15 women who have won a WSOP bracelet, and she has reached not less than 7 final tables at the World Series. Johnson has been active in the poker scene for a very long time, and during this time she has been coaching other poker players and also written lots of articles in different poker magazines. Add to that that she started PokerGives.org back in 2008, a nonprofit organization that makes it easier for poker players to donate money to charity. Linda Johnson is the second women to be picked for Poker Hall of Fame after Barbara Enright got inducted back in 2007.
Barry Greenstein, 57, is one of the world's most famous poker players, and he's been a part of the international poker scene for 20 years. Apart from being a very successful poker player, Greenstein has written many books about poker, organized several charity tournaments, and also he has donated huge sums to charity throughout the years, which has given him the nickname "The Robin Hood of Poker".
The official ceremony will take place November 8th in connection with the November 9 final table.
