EPT London's High Roller event Philipp Gruissem wins

As Benny Spindler secured his win in the ETP Main Event, his fellow countryman Philipp Gruissem took the first prize in the EPT High Roller Event, giving him a neat payout of £450,200.
The final battle was decided on Kurganov's Qd-6s and Gruissem's 9c-9h.

Pocket 9's in the final hand? Its always a nice hand to have on HU, although many don't like it, not knowing how to play it. Of course that, if a 99 player is in the lead, he wont be afraid of oponent's atack and probably will make an all in to any bet, but if things arent at this point when watching the flop, its only needed one figure in the table to make 99 shake.

Big conratulations to Philipp, i think i've read some info about him a while back...

If i remember correctly he is a really profitable player focused on live tournaments so with a really good ROI.

This EPT was really interesteing to say at least, to bad Doyle Brunson didn't take the first prize Smile
