The 2011 WPT Championship has come to an end and Scott Seiver, who entered the final table second in chips, is the winner after knocking out Farzad Bonyadi in second place! This is how the final hand was played out.
Scott Seiver raised to 400,00, and Bonyadi called. Both players checked to the river on the board of 1062QK. Bonyadi checked, Seiver bet 600,000. Bonyadi raised to 1,600,000. Seiver thought for a while before he moved all in. Then it took about 3 minutes before Bonyadi decided to call.
Seiver showed J9 for a king-high straight. Bonyadi flipped over Q10 for two pair. Bonyadi is eliminated in second place for $1,061,900. The winner, Scott Seiver, received $1,618,344, a WPT bracelet, a Bellagio bracelet, and an entry to next season's WPT World Championship
Big congratulations for mister Scott Seiver for his win. Thats a serious amount of money for a live tournament i must say, it's actually much that those high rollers events organised by pokerstars like the Carrabiean adventure. There the buy in was 100.000 dollars and the big price was "only" 1.500.000 million dollars. It's nice to see that there are a lot more tournaments in united states after the black friday, but i really hope we'll be able to see united states players at the real money table again. Congratulations once again for the winner. I must admit the second place won a really good prize too.
Last hand was pretty nice It was obvious, that Bonyadi will call it. Seiver was very lucky with this river, but now moaners can see, that rigged soft doesn't have anything to do with lucky rivers - it just happens Bonyadi also won very good money, but when it comes to heads up it's all about being first, isn't it?
"WPT Championship has come to and Scott Seiver, who entered the final table as chip leader" Thought that seiver entered final table as second in chips, but still congrats, well done winning the tournament.
