It took all night before the Epic Poker League 8-Max tournament (Main Event - $20,000 buy-in) had a winner, Mike "TimeX" McDonald. In the final hand McDonald called David Steickes all in with A4. Steicke had K2, and neither of them hit anything on the table so McDonald took home the tournament with Ace kicker.

This is not McDonald's first big win. For example: McDonald won EPT Dortmund back in 2008, and after that he has reached several final tables in major tournaments. McDonald now has 1.7 million dollars in live tournament earnings.

Final table results
1. Mike McDonald, Kanada - $782 410
2. David Steicke, Australien/Kina - $506 260
3. Fabrice Soulier, Frankrike - $299 160
4. Erik Seidel, USA - $184 100

5. Nam Thien Le, USA - $126 570

6. Isaac Baron, USA - $92 050

7. Sean Getzwiller, USA - $69 040
8. Dutch Boyd, USA - $57 530

Typical ace all-in in the final HU giving such big first prize is so nice. Perhaps things werent very good for Steickes at this moment, but noone can say it was bad played, even without watching the storic of their HU. Please, mobsters, dont turn this into a rule because it will not work at all. Having twice the oponent's chips and doing something like this and loose will put you in the initial situation, both with the same chips, and things can get more difficult from then on.
