Before the final table started Matt Waxman said to Mike Sexton (host and poker pro) that he was going to become the first-ever American to win a WPT in Paris. Waxman apparently is a man who sticks his word as he dominated the final table and laid hands on €518,750 first prize and became the first-ever American to win WPT in Paris.

Final table results:
1st: Matt Waxman: €518,750
2nd: Hugo Lemaire: €311,100
3rd: Fred Magen: €211,100
4th: Byron Kaverman: €155,550
5th: Mikko Sundell €133,330
6th: Martin Jacobson: €88,900

I bet he must tried to win the lottery so many times always saying what he said to Sexton and never won that when this finaly happened it becomes mythical. It wasnt a great prediction, because many players tend to say this all the time, but its nice to see someone saying it and "guessing". Will he say it again in a public way before he starts another great tourney? It can work as a way to scare the oponents, i guess Big Smile
