Ladies and gentlemen, the record field (1,173) at the 2012 World Poker Tour Montreal Main Event has now been narrowed down to only 6 players and a final table. The action will start at 4:00pm ET today and there is about 23 minutes left in Level 31, with blinds at 60k-120k and a 20k ante.
The biggest name on the final table is the Canadian poker pro Gavin Smith, who won the 2005 $10,000 WPT No Limit Hold'em Championship Mirage Poker Showdown, Las Vegas. However, he has the smallest stack (1.6 million - 13 bb) and will need to double up quickly to have a chance of getting that second WPT title. The chip leader is Sylvain Siebert with 8.8 million chips, and he's closely followed by Jeff Gross with 8.6 million.
