Tony G On The New Investment: "I think this guy could turn $5 million into $100 million - he's a genius"

It seems like Antanas "Tony G" Gouga has no plans whatsoever to take it easy after the London 2012 Olympics, where he was the manager for the Lithuanian basketballl team, as he already has several new projects in the pipeline and some already up and running. However, the most interesting "project" must be the staking of Daniel "Jungleman12" Cates (live and online).

"I think this guy could turn $5 million into $100 million - he's a genius. I started off by backing him for the WPT Grand Prix de Paris and intend to back him live but predominantly online." Tony wrote in his blog 3 days ago.

"I took this decision as a businessman. I take this decision as a businessman - I have faith in him to do really big things and believe he will make me money. He just needs a little guiding hand along the way. While Daniel is a long term project I looked forward to seeing how my Hungarian Hellmuth assassin Andras gets on at WPT Malta next week. He's going to make the brat look like the hot dog riding fool he is!

Not like Tong G to make outlandish claims to try and gain himself some publicity.

How the hell he landed that basketball role I'll never know - he's not a pro.

He seems like a turd of a character, maybe entertaining for TV but not a pleasant dude from what I hear.

Tony G is very confident about the good results of his business with Daniel Cates. There's no doubt he is a good player and, perhaps playing without being worried with the amounts involved, having the pressure released by such a staker like Tony G, the game can start running better for him. Is this the type of push up that Daniel Cates was waiting to give a step forward in his carreer?

Still...Shut up Tony.

wasn't jungleman supposed to quit poker since the Girah scandal incident? If i remember correctly he said he was done with poker, but i guess that means what it means..
He's a accomplished player nevertheless none can deny it. Tony G really likes the attention :| funny guy tho!

I guess I really didn't know to much about Tony G other then I guess he doesn't like Phil Hellmuth much. In reading everyones comments it sounds like Tony may have more people dislike him then like him, but these kind of people thrive on that. Thay like making the haters hate him more and the people who like these kind of people like that about them.

Tony is a magician Smile)

Franky i do not see why Daniel would accept to be staked by Tony G considering he has enough bullets to fight for himself...

Especially in this moment when full tilt poker will be up again in a few months and as we all know Daniel has over 1 mil dollars in his full tilt poker account.
It's possible that this could be another free publicity attempt from Tony G.

TONY G is best for me !
GO GO GO TONY !!! Worship Worship Worship
 rdminho16/09/2012 21:06:03 GMT
If he was so good why would he ever wanted to be staked and used by someone like Tony? Can't he make his own millions from a 50$ deposit like Tom Dwan ? Or is that also a bullshit story like so many? If he had any brain he would solo it'

Oh and by the way, Tony G is a F*king asshole.

no matter how much money you have, is it not still good to be staked? most huge companies are staked as are many other business arrangements so what is the difference in poker?
like he isnt risking his own money, and possibly gets some form of help from tony....all the haters that hate tony g just look at it this way, if he wanted to stake one of you im sure you would all lick his ass for the chance!

i dont really like him that much myself but to me that is his reputation he has built and he thrives on it and it makes him entertaining.

Good luck Tony G and jungleman

Living on credit. Deja vu for jungleman. If he could turn 5 million into 100 he would have long time ago. He's just degenerate like most of us here. Cheers. Big Smile

From what i remember Daniel was one of the biggest winners on full tilt poker and had a great bankroll management.

He was seriously affected by the full tilt poker situation, many say that he had millions on his account...

"Tony G is currently a major sponsor of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. When the country's national team failed to directly qualify for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey and had to apply for a wild-card entry, he paid a large share of the required application fee of €500,000. The team was chosen for the tournament, and won the bronze medal with TONYBET on their jersey"

That`s how he landed the basketball job, lol
 demodawggy15/08/2013 00:33:28 GMT
I always thought he was an Australian for some funny reason. He's got sort of a Dutch/Aussie accent,....but I guess it's Lithuanian....

Personally,....I don't care for the guy's manner at the tables,...

...BUT, it IS pretty generous of him to help out the basketball team... He didn't have to do that,...but when they were in the crunch...he came to the rescue...!!! Smile Thumbs Up

Nothing FUNNIER than watching him and Hellmuth bicker and argue....lol...
