Well i guess he walked away up, but still demented to be playing highest stakes when you don't know a variant that well.
It means he's either degenerate or has a serious problem other than that lol or a strategy perhaps...
At least he won money, still, if he had more discipline he'd be a mega millionaire. Tough business to be in.

It's kind of catch-22 in that regard though - if he had discipline / bankroll management, he'd still be grind away at the mid-stakes.. I guess that's always the catch with all these degenerate nosebleed players.. Sure, they have massive talent and if they got to the top and then became disciplined they would kill it. But the whole thing is, the way the get to having the bankrolls for playing those stakes is by completely ignoring bankroll management along the way.

^^ I believe what he means is if Blom had the had the discipline like say Tom Dwan... to be able to make it to those stakes, obv at first by playing in ways that most of us just dont have the balls to do, then making the transition into a consistant, "disciplined" high stakes cash and tournament player.... then he would be a mega millionaire and KEEP his money... instead of losing millions like they are pennys and having to make a come back every other month... this is totally insane what Blom does... to have the "gift" to make so much money so fast but then just lose it all due to stupidity..... he needs to smarten up... then he will be very successful and again, KEEP a consistant bankroll and a nice stash of cash.
PS - Then again none of us know what goes through his mind and its kind of obv that he does a lot of things he does for the rush... it might have nothing to do with the money.... It kind of seems like he comes from money already - maybe loaded parents... I have no clue about this but ive always had that vibe that he was born into money... Someone who has never had any money wouldn't be so easy to let millions walk out the door on a day to day period... well, then again - maybe hes just crazy.......lol

Considering the run I think HU omaha may be the way forward for him. I don't think the 27 session was a bad idea tho. You do have to play a certain amount at a new stake before being profitable and he still had the discipline to leave at a point that made it a profitable day.

| i'm interested why the hell does he play other poker formats if he thinks that he is that good in nl holdem and pl omaha- maybe he started doubting his abilities? anyway the problem for him is that he goes to try other poker forms- and immediately puts himself against guys who are best of the best in that form of poker- very silly tactic imho

because you are blowing you roll big time- those leftovers from a days profit should have been added to the roll and kept safely for the next day- especially considering the fact that he is already deep in red for this year- of course it's his money and he can blow it anyhow he likes, just saying that it is not the wisest thing to do

| I guess I don't understand his playing ethics, but have to believe that's it's more about being recognized versus holding the biggest BR. I mean why else would he play like he does, but then again like one stated, he may have always had money so that's why popularity supercedes the money side of things. Must be nice!

| The problem of not knowing when to stop keeps messing Blom's head. For a pro like him, playing different strategic games in the same session must work more as a way to keep the mind fresh than anything else. There many other good players that, if they would opt for playing different games in a single session, it would only bring them trouble, but that depends on the player himself. And Blom is different from others, now he just have to learn when to stop.

Apparently you don't know what you're talking about. He literally started out with a $50 bankroll. He doesn't come from any big money at all. So do your research before making statements.

As fas as i know Isildur bought a house in London for 1.000.000 dollars.This is the only purchase he made from the beginning of his poker career.I think that Isildur suffers gamblers,because his sessions continues for several tens of hours,in which he loses much money.i do not think he needs something else except poker in yis life.On the other hand he is a good player,and we can only wish him always to keep the level.Good Luck Isildur!!!
P.S.Not many of us will be able to make millions of dollars from 2000$.For this especially a great respect him.Even so,his agression scares opponents and he wins many pots by agression)))))))

He indeed got an penthouse from his poker winnings but that was in Sweden, not in London...
I think he already sold that and bought something else when he moved to London. Also another income source for him was the Pokerstars contract.
