PartyPoker Premier League: "Jungleman" Wins Final Heat of Group A

Now all 4 heats of Group A are in the books. Daniel "Jungleman" Cates ended up winning the final heat for 16 points. Jonathan Duhamel, who already had secured a final table spot before heat 4 kicked off, finished second for 11 points and Sam Trickett received 8 points for finishing in third place.

1st. Daniel Cates (16 points)
2nd. Jonathan Duhamel (11 points)
3rd. Sam Trickett (8 points)
4th. Scott Seiver (6 points)
5th. Antonio Esfandiari (4 points)
6th. Phil Hellmuth (3 points)
7th. Marvin Rettenmaier (2 points)
8th. Daniel Negreanu (0 points)

Duhamel, Cates and Trickett are now ready for the final table whilst Antonio Esfandiari (ranked 4 with 23 points) and Scott Seiver (ranked 5 with 21 points) will play a best-of-three heads-up match for the final seat (from Group A) at the final table.

1st. Jonathan Duhamel (42 points) takes stack of 420,000 to the final
2nd. Daniel Cates (34 points) takes stack of 340,000 to the final
3rd. Sam Trickett (27 points) takes stack of 270,000 to the final

4th. Antonio Esfandiari (23 points) plays Scott Seiver for a place in the final
5th. *Scott Seiver (21 points) plays Antonio Esfandiari for spot in the final

6th. *Phil Hellmuth (21 points)
=7th. Marvin Rettenmaier (16 points)
=7th. Daniel Negreanu (16 points)
*If level on points the tie-breaker is whoever has the highest individual finish across the four heats. Scott finished second in heat three, Hellmuth's best finish is third.

If there was a chance, i would bet on Esfandiari to make it for the final sit at the final table. Scott Seiver is really close, but Esfandiari should be able to win him on the best of three.

Esfandiari is a great player for sure, has the best chance of winning if you ask me.

I'm rooting for Jonathan Duhamel in this one....even though he's from....Quebec...lol...

You would have to live in Canada to know what's up between Quebec and the.......REST of Canada... Big Smile
