9 players reentered before Day 2 of the EPT Grand Final High Roller kicked off, which boosted the total amount of entries from 205 to 214 (the largest High Roller on European soil in EPT history).
Benny Spindler held the chip lead over the remaining 104 players when Day 2 kicked off. He continued to play well in Day 2 but eventually finished in 17th place for €63,000 after losing his last chips (all in with queen-seven vs. ace-seven) to Pascal Lefrancois, who bagged up 569k at the end of play (currently ranked 7).
The money bubble popped when 31 players remained (they earned a cash of €46,150 or more). Unfortunately, a few of the biggest names missed out on the money, including Daniel Negreanu, Erik Seidel, Bertrand Grospellier, Sam Trickett and Viktor Blom. In total, 9 players made it through Day 2 with Davidi Kitai (picture) holding the chip lead (2,208,000). Following Kitai at the top of counts are notables such as Philipp Gruissem (1,470,000) and Scott Seiver (1,553,000).
The remaining 9 players will battle it out for a €1,105,000 first place prize at today's final table. So far, they are all guaranteed a minimum payday of €113,250. Check back on Monday morning for a final table recap!
