2014 WSOP: Event #65 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event Day 1C

iveyDay 1C of the 2014 Main Event was excpected to be the busiest of the three Day 1's - and this became a fact when 3,768 poker players showed up at The Rio All-Suite Casino on Monday morning,  ready to get into the action for the $10 million first prize. With all three Day 1's combined, the total number of entries for this year's main event is now up to 6,683 players and the total prize pool for the top 693 players is $62,820,200.

Day 1C concluded after ten hours of play (five 2-hour levels). The chip leader, Eric Tracey, managed to bag 206,175 and close second to him is no-other than Phil Ivey with 187,025.

Day 1C had gathered a lot of famous poker players. Among the most recognisable faces that managed to survive Day 1C were David Tuchman, Jonathan Duhamel, Berry Johnston, Gerard Pique, and Scotty Nguyen. Some other poker faces that didn't manage further were Sam Trickett, Kathy Liebert, Andre Akkari, David "Devilfish" Ulliott, Stephen Chidwick, Davidi Kitai, Andy Frankenberger, Tom Schneider, and Jackie Glazier.

Gogo ivey it is about time you wins another big one, it has been a while and hope he wins big and gets a good run. Cheers thanks for the WSOP update, going to be a final good main event and i am returning out of events to watch and tv series to watch , so gonna be watching the event closely and have fun watching the football match of Brazil later on. I think a lot of people would like Phil Ivey to win this because he deserves the official title of World Champion because he is the unofficial world champion in many people's eyes

Ivey's first day was very nice. But the fact of the third Day 1 having more players, half of total, should be considered strange. Do players think they have more chances of getting to the next day this way? It's questionable. ..
