Day 1C of the 2014 Main Event was excpected to be the busiest of the three Day 1's - and this became a fact when 3,768 poker players showed up at The Rio All-Suite Casino on Monday morning, ready to get into the action for the $10 million first prize. With all three Day 1's combined, the total number of entries for this year's main event is now up to 6,683 players and the total prize pool for the top 693 players is $62,820,200.
Day 1C concluded after ten hours of play (five 2-hour levels). The chip leader, Eric Tracey, managed to bag 206,175 and close second to him is no-other than Phil Ivey with 187,025.
Day 1C had gathered a lot of famous poker players. Among the most recognisable faces that managed to survive Day 1C were David Tuchman, Jonathan Duhamel, Berry Johnston, Gerard Pique, and Scotty Nguyen. Some other poker faces that didn't manage further were Sam Trickett, Kathy Liebert, Andre Akkari, David "Devilfish" Ulliott, Stephen Chidwick, Davidi Kitai, Andy Frankenberger, Tom Schneider, and Jackie Glazier.
