There are only nine players remaining in the World Series of Poker Europe Oktoberfest event (Event #2: €550 No-Limit Hold'em) after four days of play. All nine finalists have so far secured a €16,935 payday by outlasting 2,135 other entries over four days of play, and on today's final table they will battle it out for a coveted gold bracelet and a $157,749 first-place prize!
Two-time WSOP bracelet winner John Gale from the United Kingdom has the lead with 2.89 million in chips, Brazil's Rodrigo Caprioli is in second place with 2.39 million, and U.S. poker professional Steve O'Dwyer is third with 2.23 million. O'Dwyer has over 10 million in live tournament earnings, including 1 WPT victory and 2 EPT titles. Although he has nothing left to prove to the poker world, we are pretty sure that he will do everything in his power to win this tournament and complete poker's triple crown (EPT, WPT and WSOP titles).
