The very first event to kick off at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series in Montenegro this May 2019 has now finished, and it was Steve O'Dwyer who bagged the first place prize and the trophy!
Triton Poker SHR Series Montenegro 2019 Event #1: HK$250,000 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo 8-Handed Venue: Maestral Resort & Casino in Budva, Montenegro When: May 5-6, 2019 (Sunday and Monday)
This is O'Dwyer's first-ever top win at the Triton Poker Super High Roller Series. The event had a total of 54 player entries, including 14 re-entries, which generated a prize pool worth HKD10,575,000 (or US$1,348,078).
The five top players were guaranteed a nice payout of at least HKD 1,005,000 (US$128,115) each, which means they earned 4x their buy-in amount:
Steve O'Dwyer started at the final table as the second shortest stack after he got a nightmare ending on Day 1.
Great luck had been on his side for the next hands as he eventually rose up the ranks even though initially he was at the brink of being sent to the rail due to his limited chips.
The final showdown saw two good buddies battle it out for the first place prize and the title: Steve O'Dwyer versus Team partypoker pro Isaac "Ike_Haxton" Haxton.
With over a 2:1 chip advantage, O'Dwyer agreed to a chop with Haxton with the following payout: O'Dwyer - HK$ 3,458,784; Haxton - HK$ 2,901,216, which left HKD250,000 and the title for the final heads-up match.

O'Dwyer held a piece of paper saying "Happy Birthday Mom" as he posed for the winner's photo. He said after his win, "It worked out exactly how I hoped it would."
Adding this achievement to his portfolio, Steve O'Dwyer's total live earnings now is at $27,496,163, according to the Hendon Mob.

It's nice to see players coming from across the ocean, in a small country and to win big prizes in beautiful poker tournaments. From the top 5 i only heard about 3 players but that does not mean that others are not very talented. It is very good because live poker is multiplying in many countries.
only I know Triton Poker is some kind of Asian poker network and it is very active in the world now. I think this is great. The more poker tournaments there are, the more countries will become loyal to poker games, which is certainly very good.
This winner's list reminds more of the old days, and most of the tournaments, with usa players getting the most out of it. I can see known names for me here. The winner said "It worked out exactly how I hoped it would.". Well every winner can say the exact same thing. Every one chases the win after all
of course it is very good win for steve o dwyer not only because it is so good to have so small amount of chips and look like you finish tournament soon and be out not in money places but then win many times and in end win all tournament but too also it is from picture I see his mother birthday
this is also nice prize for first place,when we see that it was only 54 players on tournament with 14 rebuys!for buy in of 37500 $ to win 472 K $ is nice,especially for this high roller players!5 players in prize pool,which is good for payout for this players!
500,000 dollars for almost 1 prize is certainly wonderful ... the tournament is quite large and attracted many good players from around the world ... who came to Montenegro to play poker and look at this beautiful country .... this is very good for the poker community. .. Montenegro took a worthy place among the countries in which good tournaments are held
