Valeriu Coca, who finished in 5th place in the $10K Heads Up NLHE Championship at this summer's World Series of Poker, has now received his money ($54,545) after an investigation by Nevada Gaming Control was completed earlier this week.

WSOP released the following statement on Thursday: "Once issues were brought to our attention, we immediately commenced an investigation and worked cooperatively with the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The investigation that was performed has now been completed by all parties. At this time, the matter is considered closed and the 5th place finisher in Event #10 will now have his funds released for payment."

According to Hendon Mob, Coca has $317k (including the €54k from the $10 HU Championship) in live tournament earnings since his first recorded cash in 2012.

now is it cool or what- first you are being accused of being a cheat, then after an in-depth investigation of unknown matters (including the secret video from the toilet) it appears that you are not guilty and without any public excuse you are just being given your hard earned cash and goodbye- who the fcuk cares that your reputation was fcuked inside out.

That is not clear for me what was suspicious in connection with this player. There must be some evidence to start an investigation like this before make such serious things - be cheater...

According to the media, Cocu was accused by players that he had played against of marking cards. He subsequently denied it and was cleared following this allegation. It's the same old story in life where someone says you have done something and BANG, there goes your reputation!

This seems to be a complete shambles from the WSOP,I don't see how they could refuse to pay him without some kind of proof but then to say he is innocent after such a long time is not good.
