Valeriu Coca, who finished in 5th place in the $10K Heads Up NLHE Championship at this summer's World Series of Poker, has now received his money ($54,545) after an investigation by Nevada Gaming Control was completed earlier this week.
WSOP released the following statement on Thursday: "Once issues were brought to our attention, we immediately commenced an investigation and worked cooperatively with the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The investigation that was performed has now been completed by all parties. At this time, the matter is considered closed and the 5th place finisher in Event #10 will now have his funds released for payment."
According to Hendon Mob, Coca has $317k (including the €54k from the $10 HU Championship) in live tournament earnings since his first recorded cash in 2012.
