The HK$500,000 buy-in Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) Super High Roller drew a small but tough field of players. The final table included some of the biggest stars in poker, but somehow a rather unknown Serbian-American player stood tall as the champion after just four levels of play.
Andy Andrejevic defeated poker legend John Juanda heads-up to claim the title and the HK $8,725,000 (approximately USD 1,125,000) first-place prize! What's even more remarkable is that Andrejevic satellited his way into this tournament for only $5,100 and never rebought once (all players were allowed two rebuys at any time).
He now has close to $2 million in live tournament earnings, with most of his winnings coming from the past three months!
