EPT: Ole Schemion Wins Super High Roller For €1.6 Million!

46 players (plus 15 re-entries) participated in The 2016 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino EPT Grand Final €100,000 Super High Roller over the weekend. After eliminating Mustapha Kanit in second place with pocket queens vs pocket sevens, Ole Schemion was crowned the champion and received €1,547,800 in prize money.

"It's very sweet to win against Mustapha," Schemion said. "He's a very good friend of mine."

Schemion, a German poker pro with over $10 million in live tournament earnings, has taken a break from poker since the PokerStars Carribean Adventure (PCA) in January before entering and winning this massive buy-in tournament.

"I just wanted to take some time off and do something away from poker, so to come back and win the super high roller is really great," he said.

Ole schemion is back. Its a name i have not heard of in a long time.
First place pays X16 buyin amount.
The shocking part is that there was 15 re-entries @ €100,000 each in a field of 46 players.
Assuming single re-entry, around 33% of the field exposed €200,000.
Madness, considering the field strength.

This rebuy amount was so strong, ok this was an highroller etpt Event. The winning prize of 1.6 $ Million sounds verry nice, but the question was how many rebuys do you need to win this tourney.
Now we are waiting for a bounty highroller tourney Blink

To be honest I am not at all shocked by the amount of re-entries since on this level probably many players knowing well what are they doing and why... The funny thing is if you end up on the final table after the rebuy but you are the first to gome home then barely even made your invested money back.

I am not surprised either sir Bowie, these guys would rather waste 100k than do nothing all night and watch other players play Blink

Ole Schemion is a great player, tight agressive, pretty crafty and uses position well. He's probably going to win many more, he's super young too!

1.6 million euros, that's like 2.3 trillion canadian dollars right? Big Smile
