partypoker ambassador and WPT commentator Mike Sexton made it to the final table of the WPT L.A. Poker Classic $10,000 Main Event on Wednesday evening after five days of play.
Sexton has played many WPT events over the past decade but it wasn't until last year that he finally captured his first title at the Season XV WT Montreal Main Event. Now, he's suddenly chasing a second WPT title in the same WPT season, which is pretty remarkable!
He will enter today's televised final table in fifth place with 1,165,000 in chips and is already guaranteed to take home at least $191,490. The winner of the tournament will take home just over 1 million dollars. If it's Mike Sexton who captures the title and the massive first-place prize, then he will have over $7,000,000 in live tournament earnings!
Final table line up:
Seat 1: Mike Sexton - 1,165,000
Seat 2: Jesse Martin - 2,540,000
Seat 3: Jared Griener - 1,895,000
Seat 4: Daniel Strelitz - 6,485,000
Seat 5: Simeon Naydenov - 2,860,000
Seat 6: Richard Tuhrim - 680,000
