British poker pro "Velazquez76" has won in the new-look partypoker MILLION, bringing home an awesome $152,700 for his efforts, and he also won a $10,300 seat to the upcoming $20M GTD MILLIONS Online!

After a 13-year hiatus, players shall once more get a piece of that million-dollar pie with the return of their weekly $1M GTD partypoker MILLION tournament.

The revised format enabled players to enter multiple Day 1 flights, which are traditional freezeouts but with the option to re-enter into subsequent Day 1s. Day 1 flights function as ‘best stack forward' tourneys that allow players to carry their biggest stack forward to the final day.

Partypoker MILLION Main Event

  • Schedule: October 27 to November 3, 2019
  • GTD: $1,000,000
  • Buy-in: $215

The reintroduction of the partypoker MILLION had some technical setbacks which resulted in its cancellation and so partypoker paid out $1.8 million to the affected players. Fortunately, Velazquez76 was not directly affected and was satisfied with how they handled the situation. He said, "I did play one of the Day 1s but did not make Day 2 so was not affected. It was such a shame for partypoker but it was handled exceptionally; they went above and beyond to make it right. I was very impressed by that. I was always going to play as it's such a massive tournament on the weekly schedule now. If anything, last week's issues would have made me want to play even more as I know that if anything went wrong partypoker would have made it right."

Velazquez76 shared what he went through during the tournament, "I ran very well throughout, as you would expect. A hand that is memorable is with around 11 players left. I got it all in with ace-queen against ace-king to go fourth in chips. A queen came on the river giving me the double. I celebrated loudly, forgetting my girlfriend was asleep in the room next door and promptly received a ‘can you keep it down' on Facebook Messenger!"

"I believed that I could win but didn't expect to. Even when you make the final table you're still only going to win around 10% of the time. It wasn't until we got three-handed that I started to build up any chips. At that point, I thought I had a really good shot. We tried to make a deal four times but, fortunately for me, discussions broke down every time!"

Early Finish Time makes partypoker MILLION a Hit Favorite for Many
It is partypoker's wish to create a great tournament that's going to be player-friendly so when they relaunched the partypoker MILLION, they made sure that recreational players can finish at a time that enabled them to get adequate rest, especially those who have day-time jobs on Monday morning.

Velazquez76 says even professional poker players like the new format, "I like the starting days concept and that they are freezeout because a lot of play was already done on Day 1 and this meant the tournament didn't go on super late. It finished around 3:00 a.m. which is far more civilised than a few Sunday tournaments I've played on PokerStars that have gone on until 7:00 a.m. and beyond. The guarantee is fantastic, I really hope that the guarantee starts to get hit and that this tournament can become a permanent fixture. It could be the final nail in the coffin for PokerStars."

When asked what he will do with his latest windfall, Velazquez76 answered, "I try to have a decent amount of money liquid at any time across poker sites and in different currencies to play live tournaments. The money I don't need as part of my bankroll is invested. This score, like most of the rest of my investments, will be put into the stock market, primarily in index funds. Perhaps I'll buy some more Bitcoin as well."

He leaves this piece of helpful advice for those who wish to turn $22 into $150,000 or more via partypoker's satellites, "The satellites offer great value, there are so many during the week and they frequently overlay. But if you don't manage to satellite in and can afford it, have a go because it's the best tournament of the week online to take a shot in."

One million dollar tournaments will always be important when money has value. There is a chance to qualify here if you risk playing $ 11 satellites and to get to the main tournament. You need to try your luck because you can have the goddess of luck near you.

quite often, a million dollar tournament has appeared now .... a million dollars is a magical amount that attracts many players willing to contribute 215 dollars to win this tournament .... if a professional poker player won the tournament, then this seems to me natural because an amateur who decided to risk $ 215 will play quite risky ... and this person played competently and won

For several years i have noticed that professional players who have won some big online tournaments, they are no longer too good as in the past. Big names have pretty much disappeared from big profits in MTT games and they probably play more cash. Anyway, it's good for the others because they have a chance to make money in these million-dollar tournaments.

A nice win for a nice amount of money.
The ticket also has a great value, and he can won even more money from there.
And the big tournaments continue in party poker of course.
They have what it takes to make such games come true,
be it online or land based ones.

There are multiple tournaments where you can play and here it is necessary to always play satellites. Time matters if you can do that, because if you are too busy, it is harder to get good qualifications. I played on Saturday a satellite with 75 or 85 cents and i won an entrance of $ 33. Sunday i won $72,99 cents and is very good. It is important to try for more like in these million games.

It is as the friend CALICUL says it is a matter of trying sometimes you can take a nice prize with a few cents, tournaments that are freeroll it costs a lot to be able to win something either a ticket or a few dollars for the fact that it is always filled with very fast people and there are very few paid positions, I always bet on pokerstars, $ 50 freeroll tournament, only 50 paid positions and 4 thousand players enter Shock Shock Shock

Nightkid, in 888 poker you don't play? This poker room has many freeroll tournaments, where you can make some money. It depends on what level you have or others free games. Pokerstars doesn't have many games like this. Party Poker i read that they don't have that anymore.
