888poker has launched two new daily tournaments, called PKOmaha. They combine the action of PLO with the bounties of Progressive Knockout (PKO) tournaments!

Progressive Knockout (PKO) tournaments are very popular in online poker. Pot-limit Omaha (PLO) has become a favorite action-packed game among players as well.

888poker brilliantly combined the two hits by offering two daily PKOmaha events.

Two things to note:

  1. Omaha is now available in the popular 888poker App, which can be downloaded for free on Android and iOS platforms.
  2. There are two new daily tournaments - the combined action of PLO with the bounties of Progressive Knockouts (PKO).

Two PLO/PKO Tournaments

Every day at 18:45 GMT, they will hold the $22 buy-in, $1,000 GTD PKOmaha. Players will start with a 100-big blind stack and play 8-minute levels. Late registration is open for 70 minutes.

There will be a maximum of three rebuys allowed:

  • $10 will go to the regular prize pool
  • $10 to the bounty pool
  • $2 to the house

There will also be a daily $2.20 buy-in, three seats guaranteed satellite at 17:40 GMT.

At 20:15 GMT, there will be a $5.50 buy-in, $500 GTD PKOmaha 6-Max event. Players will start with a 100-big blind stack and play 8-minute levels. Late registration is open for 70 minutes.

There will be a max of three rebuys allowed:

  • $2.50 will go to the regular prize pool
  • $2.50 to the bounty pool
  • $0.50 to the house

Players can win their way in to that event for just $0.50 in a three-seats guaranteed satellite at 18:40 GMT.

PKO tournaments are basically MTT tournaments with an extra cash bounty on every player in the tournament. When a player eliminates an opponent, that player wins the bounty as a cash prize.

Players do not need to pay another fee for their bounty. The KO bounty is in the buy-in amount.

The deeper you go, the bigger bounties you can win. Make it to the end, and you will win a big PKO bounty, which can eclipse the first-place prize.

Study Omaha with Vivi Saliba

If you have never played Pot-Limit Omaha, then you're missing out. Don't worry, as 888poker ambassador Vivian "Vivi" Saliba gives you a beginner PLO crash course that you can check out to learn the basics right away.

"PLO is a very simple game. If you've already played No-Limit Hold'em, you're going to learn it very fast," Saliba said before highlighting the two main differences between the games -
PLO is played with four cards. Hold'em uses just two.

In PLO, you must use two cards from your hand and three from your hand.

Saliba continued, "Even though the rules are pretty simple, you might have to study a little bit to become a good PLO player. You're gonna have to play way less hands ... PLO is a very exciting game also because you're going to be able to bluff a lot."

Watch the video for step-by-step instructions on PLO gameplay and tips on beginner PLO strategy.

Now that you're all set, see if you can crush the micro-stakes PLO cash games on 888poker!

I like 888poker tournaments, and more with this combination between the action of PLO and progressive Knockout tournaments, now called PKOmaha, it will be fun to play them, plus there are tickets with just 22 dollars, where most can play it.

Many players who are bored of Texas hold'em can try here for a while to adapt and after that to press the accelerator for more money. It's not a bad game and i don't know how successful it will be, but they can launch a satellites strategy where 3 times every 24 hours and on weekends to have stronger tournaments of PKOmaha.

This new type of game that will do with omaha will be fun, I think that was waiting for many players, it only remains to know if many people like it, I think it is a game that is becoming very popular, I hope they always play it so that it does not disappear .

godoy, try some fun games to adapt. I think you can waste a few bucks on small tournaments. In this way you will realize if it is good to continue playing this kind of poker. I don't know why you're upset about pkomaha, but relax and play what u want.

This omaha tournament is very fun, it is a new game and I love the challenges that 888poker is having with the community of placing a tournament of that nature, that makes the poker community grow, also omaha which is a game that is growing in the last years.
 CALICUL23/02/2021 00:30:52 GMT
I don't think it will grow too much because poker is falling compared to previous years. The important thing is that they to know how to gather players and suitable satellites would increase interest here. Many players in tournaments it is something attractive.
 geseco1223/02/2021 07:51:27 GMT
Omaha I am liking little by little, hos I am playing almost all day, I think I am already liking it more than holdem, I think there is more action there because there are more cards that you play, but in general that community should be growing at lower limits.
 CALICUL24/02/2021 11:56:59 GMT
I read a little about it and here we can do 3 rebuys per game. A good idea and the buy-ins are not great at these tournaments for our tastes. It's really good and it's important to have some players to play with them. From 10 million of customers, we can find few hundred in every tourney, i hope.
