2025 Poker Hall Of Fame

The cards are on the table, and it's your move! The Poker Hall of Fame Governing Council is now accepting nominations for the 2025 inductee, and they want to hear from you. From June 6 to June 15, players, fans, and poker lovers everywhere can help decide who gets immortalized as the 64th member of poker's most elite club.

As the world's best battle it out at the 2025 WSOP at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, the search is on for the next legend to join icons like Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, and Daniel Negreanu - or perhaps a behind-the-scenes game-changer who's helped poker thrive.

Who's Got What It Takes?

Nominees must meet the Hall's gold-standard criteria:

  • At least 40 years old
  • Played high-stakes and held their own
  • Respected by peers and top competition
  • Consistently great over time
  • Built a lasting legacy
  • Or, if a non-player, left a major impact on the game

Not just players make the cut - Special Honorees like Linda Johnson ("The First Lady of Poker") and PokerGO President Mori Eskandani have earned their place by elevating the game from the rail.

How to Nominate
From June 6-15, submit your nomination at WSOP.com using the 2025 Poker Hall of Fame Online Ballot. On June 17, the top 10 finalists will be revealed. Then, living Hall of Famers will cast their votes to decide who truly deserves to be etched into poker history.

The newest inductee will be revealed live before Event #92: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty on Friday, July 11.

G'day mates...
You know who would be one heck of a contraversial nominee.
Bugsy Siegel. Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel (February 28, 1906 – June 20, 1947) was an American mobster who was a driving force behind the development of the Las Vegas Strip.
This man was the primary reason poker in Las Vegas even exist today.
It was his vision which brought about Vegas.
I don't think there is even a picture of him let alone a single statue devoted to the man who gave the world Las Vegas.
Surely that would make him eligable for the poker hall of fame.

I agree with you.
However it is wrong for the to try and rewrite or ignore the past.
I know the man was ganster but he did effect gambling in Las Vegasin alot of positive ways.
He was not all bad. He lived in a very different and violent time.
It could be argued that had alot to do with the way he was and lived.
He should at least be remembered.
